Running Enhancement Program
Our Running Enhancement Program targets both novice and avid runners and offers running analysis with a detailed orthopedic assessment looking specifically at the kinematics of the trunk and lower extremities involvement. We will examine your technique and give you visual feedback by slowing down your running form on our video system to assess your biomechanics. Following analysis, we will provide needed assistance on improving running form and injury prevention through individually tailored orthopedic stretching/strengthening exercises. In order to participate in the program, you must have experience on a treadmill, running sneakers (current shoes and an old pair of running shoes), shorts above knees and a fitted shirt. The assessment includes runner’s intake, muscle strength and length testing, video analysis, and biomechanical analysis. If you’ve had any of these running injuries this program is for you; ankle sprain, shin splints, Achilles tendonitis, stress fracture, plantar fasciitis, patellofemoral pain syndrome, hamstring strain, quadriceps strain, iliotibial band syndrome, back pain and hip/sacroiliac pain.
