Vestibular Rehabilitation/Balance Training/Fall Risk Reduction

Dizziness and balance disorders can affect individuals of all ages and significantly impact function and mobility. The sensation of dizziness or lack of balance can be symptoms of change in the vestibular system. If untreated, balance problems can lead to injurious falls. Hamilton Physical Therapy Services offers a comprehensive balance, vestibular, and fall prevention program to reduce symptoms and improve mobility.

Our program addresses:

  • Vestibular rehabilitation – an exercise-based approach to promote adaptation or compensation to a change or deficit in the vestibular system
  • Balance retraining – addresses the musculoskeletal coordination of postural control which may be impaired as a result of aging, injury, pathology or de-conditioning
  • Fall risk reduction – designed to increase independence with functional activities, functional mobility, and safety awareness while decreasing the risk of falling.

All patients receive individualized patient assessment and treatment.
